The Southern Pines Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a postal worker on Elk Ridge Lane on Wednesday just after 1 p.m. “The initial investigation revealed the postal worker was delivering mail at the community mailboxes when three unknown black male suspects approached the victim to rob him at gunpoint,” said Southern Pines Police Chief Nick Polidori in a press release.
