Israeli Flag stolen twice from West Lubbock yard, family responds with determination

LUBBOCK, Texas — In a quiet neighborhood in West Lubbock, one family’s show of support for Israel has been met with repeated theft. Nita Daniels and her husband proudly displayed the Israeli flag alongside their Texas flag, but in two days, the Israeli flag was stolen twice from their yard.

“This is a hate of the people of Israel. This is all that this is. They hate the Jews,” said Daniels, expressing her frustration.

The first flag Daniels flew was one she brought back from a trip to Israel. After hearing about the recent attacks on Israel, she told her husband, “Let’s fly that flag.”

Initially, the couple hoped for the best. “My husband got up on Wednesday morning and asked, ‘Did you take down the Israel flag?’ I said, ‘No, I would never take down the flag,’” Daniels responded.

They thought it may have been lost to the strong South Plains winds and bought a replacement, only to have it stolen again.

Now, Daniels believes the theft was intentional.
