A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by Santa Rosa police after being found in possession of a handgun with a laser and tactical light. Yesterday just after 12:30 PM, police received a report of a fight at the temporary location of the Santa Rosa Transit Mall on First Street which possibly involved a young girl armed with a knife. Though she was not located, police found a teenage boy that may have been involved who ran when officers approached him. He was caught and detained in a nearby parking garage with officers finding a loaded handgun in a satchel he had been wearing across his chest. He was arrested and charged with two firearm related crimes as well as resisting a police officer.
