Bath & Body Works Pulls Candle Over KKK Imagery

Additional Coverage:

Bath & Body Works is under fire after releasing a holiday candle with packaging that resembles Ku Klux Klan hoods.

The “Snowed In” candle features a snowflake design on a red background, which many have compared to the pointed white hoods with eyeholes worn by the KKK.

Critics took to social media to call for the candle to be removed from shelves and for those responsible to be fired.

The company has apologized for the offensive design and is working to remove the candle from stores.

This is not the first time Bath & Body Works has faced criticism for its marketing campaigns. In 2022, the brand was criticized for its Black History Month offering, which featured everyday products repackaged as “limited edition” goods.
