Tim Tebow- and Fred Taylor-owned Jacksonville soccer club forms charitable arm

Sporting JAX , the club developing men’s and women’s professional soccer franchises in Northeast Florida, has launched a charitable arm.

The Sporting JAX Foundation will expand “equal access to soccer and sports opportunities in underserved communities,” according to the club.

“Soccer is more than just a game — it’s a catalyst for personal growth, community building and lifelong opportunities,” said Tony Allegretti, the club’s chief community officer. “We created the foundation to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has the chance to play and experience the transformative benefit of the sport.”

The nonprofit will support youth soccer, mentorships for young women and girls, community outreach, facility development and educational initiatives.

In 2022, Sporting JAX received a franchise in the USL Championship and in 2023 earned a franchise in the USL Super League for women’s soccer. The first competitive season is expected in 2025-26. More information is at sportingjax.com .
