2 Children Struck In Pottstown: Police (UPDATE)

Two children are in the hospital after being struck by a car, the Pottstown Chief of Police Mick Markovich told Daily Voice on Friday, Oct. 11.

The collision happened near the corner of Beech and North Adams streets in Pottstown around 5:54 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.

“Two children ages 7 and 10 entered the roadway between two parked vehicles,”  Chief Markovich told us.

There is no crosswalk or lights at the intersection, according to Google Maps Street View.

The two children who were struck were taken by ambulance to an area hospital, dispatch said.

The children’s “injuries were minor, non-life threatening,” Markovich said.

The striking vehicle stayed on the scene, Chief of Police Mick Markovich. No charges will be filed.
