Lubbock, Texas — Mahala Arguijo told EverythingLubbock.com that it has been a dream of hers to cheer at Disney World since she was a little girl and now that she was selected by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA,) she has the opportunity but needs help to get there.
Mahala and her mother, Marissa Anthony, have created a GoFundMe link in hopes of raising the $3,000 she needs for the trip expenses.

Mahala said it is the opportunity of a lifetime, “I was the only one selected, I believe, out of LISD the first one ever to go from Estacado as a way to perform and exceed my learning experience and cheer and becoming a leader. And it’s an opportunity for me to go and meet other cheerleaders and many different leaders.”
Charly Gibson said typically one needs to try out for the opportunity, “[but] they selected her. And so to me, that’s more of a compliment that they were that she was selected by them and not that she tried out and made it.”
