Georgia woman accused of ambushing, killing a man there in 2019 arrested in Columbus

A Georgia woman who is accused in the ambush killing of a man there in 2019 and later fled to Columbus was arrested Friday without incident on the city’s East Side, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.

Tiunna Williams, 23, has been charged with malice murder in Clayton County Magistrate Court in connection with the fatal April 2019 shooting of Robert Ragland . Homicide detectives said that Williams conspired with two other people to lure Ragland to a location in College Park, Georgia, where they intended to rob him.

Williams was charged in his death on Jan. 16, 2024, according to Clayton County Magistrate Court records.

The Franklin County SWAT team and U.S. Marshals in Columbus arrested Williams in the 1000 block of Richmond Avenue in Columbus’ Woodland Park neighborhood.

Williams is being held at the Franklin County jail pending extradition to Georgia to face charges.
