Fresno Fire engine crashes into Chevrolet sedan

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A Fresno Fire engine going to a call crashed into a sedan in a Fresno intersection on Friday, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Crews say at around 12:10 p.m., a fire truck was responding to a call in northwest Fresno when it crashed into the back of a Chevrolet sedan at the intersection of Brawley and Shaw avenues.

The driver and other people in the sedan sustained minor injuries and no firefighters were injured.

Photos from the crash show minimal damage to the fire engine, however, the sedan sustained damage to its bumper and back tires.

Fresno Fire said another engine from another station had to take over the initial call.
