It misses UNLV and Boise State, so there’s a real shot of ripping through a manageable conference slate to be deep in the hunt for the conference title.
But first it has to get through a plucky San Jose State team.
San Jose State beat Air Force and Nevada for a nice Mountain West start, but it still has Boise State and and UNLV to deal with.
It’s been a strong start under new head coach Ken Niumatalolo, but getting a win here would be a big deal to get in range of a bowl bid.
