Lee Corso Apologizes to College Mascot After ‘College GameDay’ Update

ESPN’s legendary Lee Corso has gone on record before as saying that Eugene, Oregon is his favorite place to go to for ‘College GameDay,’ and that the Oregon Duck is his favorite mascot in all of college football.

In his 28 times making a pick on Oregon games with a mascot head, Corso has sided with the Ducks 21 times, and he has an impressive 14-7 record when choosing his feathered friend.

Unfortunately, Corso won’t get that opportunity this weekend as Oregon hosts No. 2 Ohio State in Eugene for a top-five showdown. On Friday, ESPN’s Rece Davis told USA Today’s Zachary Neel that Corso would be missing his second-straight week of ‘College GameDay’ as he continues to get over an illness.

ESPN’s Rece Davis did reveal that Corso wanted to send a message, and an apology, to his favorite mascot ahead of his absence, though.
