South Eugene High School alumni submit locally-made film to prestigious festivals

EUGENE, Ore. – A pair of South Eugene High School alumni are hoping to make it big in Hollywood and some prestigious film festivals with their locally-made film. “American Flake,” a coming-of-age dramady that’s set in Eugene, tells the story of a charismatic drug dealer who avoids grieving the death of his mom by searching for a lost bag of his favorite potato chips and was filmed by Andrew David Paterson. Fellow 2014 South Eugene graduate, Hazel Hering, produced the film and said it was a blast keeping the film local.
