ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Rockford Mass Transit District (RMTD) will take you to the polls for free on Election Day. The free rides will be available to fixed route and paratransit users. Official voting hours for local polls are from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. RMTD will provide free rides from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. giving riders extended time to get to their respective polling location.
