Sushi Restaurant Bounces Back from Bankruptcy, Heads to The Standard Residences Miami

Sushi lovers in Miami, get ready! Despite facing some financial hurdles, Sushi Garage is making a comeback with a brand-new spot at The Standard Residences in Midtown Miami, expected to open in 2025.

If you’ve been keeping up, you might know that Sushi Garage, part of the Juvia Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year for its Miami Beach and Coconut Grove locations. While the Miami Beach location has since closed, the Coconut Grove spot is still open as they work through the legal process.

But here’s the exciting news—Sushi Garage isn’t letting that stop them from expanding! Their new location will be in The Standard Residences, the first-ever branded residential project by Standard International, developed by Rosso Development and Midtown Development. The new building is located at 3100 N.E. First Ave., right in The Shops at Midtown Miami, and is set to open in the third quarter of 2025.

This is actually the second Juvia Group restaurant to land at The Standard Residences. Earlier this year, developers announced the launch of Solana, a European-inspired rooftop restaurant. So, Midtown Miami is shaping up to be a serious dining destination!
