Iconic Trip-Hop Band Cancels Tour Less Than a Week Before the Start

They were set to have their first visit across the pond in five years.

However, on Friday morning, the UK based trip-hop group Massive Attack announced on social media that they were canceling all of their upcoming shows in the U.S.

The announcement comes less than a week before what was meant to be the first performance. Revealing back in July their intention to tour in the United States, Massive Attack was set to kick off their short run of shows on Thursday October 17th at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Following their first performance, the band was going to head to Miami’s III Points Festival on October 19th, The Anthem in Washington D.C. on October 22nd, The Roadrunner in Boston, Massachusetts on October 23rd and finally Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, New York on October 24th.

Massive Attack was first formed in 1988 with the band releasing their first album three years later. In 1998, their album Mezzanine topped the charts. Their next album 100th Window followed suit. They last appeared in the U.S. in 2019 as part of their Mezzanine XXI tour.
