Where is Kirk Herbstreit today? How ‘College GameDay’ analyst made trip from Oregon to Dallas for Red River Rivalry

Kirk Herbstreit is one of the busiest sports analysts in the business, as he typically broadcasts two games a week between “Thursday Night Football” and college football on ESPN.

His busy schedule was on display Saturday, when Herbstreit had to leave “College GameDay” early.

This week, ESPN sent “College GameDay” to Eugene, where No. 3 Oregon hosts No. 2 Ohio State. But Herbstreit is set to call No. 1 Texas vs. No. 18 Oklahoma at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Therefore, Herbstreit had to finish broadcasting GameDay this week while in transit to Dallas. Sporting News breaks down his busy day below.

Kirk Herbstreit’s trip to Dallas

Herbstreit began the Saturday as he normally does, in his chair when College GameDay began at 9 p.m. ET. This week, the crew was live from Eugene early Saturday morning ahead of a huge top five matchup.

However, Herbstreit would not be able to finish the show with the rest of the broadcast. About two hours in, Herbstreit left to catch a plane so he could make it to the Red River Rivalry on time.
