Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Zeke; ‘Off The Charts!’?

FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys brought back Ezekiel Elliott this offseason to be a part of the running back-by-committee for Mike McCarthy’s offense.

While many were scratching their heads at the decision (and still are), there was one reason Elliott might have been brought back – his locker room presence.

For offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, having not been around Zeke last season with the two-time NFL rushing champ in with the New England Patriots, now that he has day-to-day interactions with Elliott, what are his thoughts on the veteran back?

“Awesome teammate,” Schottenheimer said. “I love his energy, I’m a high-energy guy, he’s a high-energy guy, he plays the game the right way, he loves it.

“He plays it a little bit like we’re back in Pop Warner, that’s a compliment. I like that. It’s not too rigid, it’s not too tense, and he brings great energy to practice. His football instincts are off the charts … Football just kind of makes sense to him, he understands the game, protections, coverages and that’s cool to see.”
