NJ man convicted of murder for stabbing girlfriend 29 times in 2021

WASHINGTON TOWNHSIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 59-year-old New Jersey man was convicted of murder for stabbing girlfriend 29 times in 2021, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced Friday.

Patrick Camilli was convicted of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose on Oct. 7.

At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, the Washington Township Police Department received a 911 call reporting an incident at 41 Lexington Court in Washington Township.

Officers responded and located Patrick Camilli on the floor of the residence lying on top of 51-year-old Mary Huber with a knife in close proximity to him.

Huber had suffered multiple stab wounds and bruises and was transported to Valley Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Camilli was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment of self-inflicted stab wounds and later arrested by detectives for Huber’s murder.

An autopsy performed by the Bergen County Medical Examiner Office determined that Huber suffered at least 29 sharp force injuries and 20 blunt force injuries.
