STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Three vehicle thefts were reported on the same day on Staten Island last week. Overall, the number of automobile thefts reported in the borough for the year through Oct. 6 was down 24% (272 vs. 358) when compared to the same period in 2023, according to the NYPD’s latest CompStat figures.
