The Kirtland and Concord Township fire departments recently received grants to purchase new equipment for emergency medical responses. Kirtland Fire Chief Tony Hutton said that his department plans to use the funding to purchase two Lifepak 35 heart monitors, which he described as high-tech equipment at a recent City Council meeting.
