Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre visits Coulee Region for Legends Weekend fundraiser

GALESVILLE (WKBT)– A legendary former Packers quarterback is visiting the Coulee Region this weekend.

Today, Brett Favre stopped by Champions Riverside Resort for the Legends Weekend fundraiser.

Each year, the event raises money for the Gilbert Brown Foundation, a nonprofit that provides support, education and resources to kids in Wisconsin. Favre joined other former Packers players including Gilbert Brown, Santana Dotson, Earl Dotson, Dorsey Levens, Craig Newsome and Noah Herron, signing autographs and meeting fans. Folks from all over made the trip to see Packers legends, some people even coming as far as Charleston, South Carolina.

“I just wanted to come here do this and have a really great time,” said Dean Rommes.

This was Favre’s first time participating in Legends Weekend.
