PHOENIX – Phoenix’s daily heat streak record reached 19 days on Saturday. The temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which the National Weather Service (NWS) uses for the city’s official records, hit 104 degrees at 2:40 p.m. The previous record of 103 degrees was set in 1950.
