Graham man charged with first-degree murder for shooting that left 1 dead, 1 with life-threatening injuries, police say

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting two people Friday night.

According to the Graham Police Department, at 10:26 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of East Hill Street.

One victim, a 28-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene while another victim, a 29-year-old male, was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Derrick Ramont Spencer, 52, of Graham, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of possessing a stolen firearm.

The identities of the victims are unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
