Halftime Report: Gophers trail UCLA 10-0 in Big Ten matchup

The Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-3, 1-2) are struggling to get anything going on offense in the first half against the UCLA Bruins (1-4, 0-3) on Saturday night, as they trail in Pasadena, Calif. 10-0.

Minnesota punted their first three possessions and then kicker Dragan Kesich hooked a 43-yard field goal wide right late in the second quarter. It marked his sixth miss of the season and all of them have hooked right.

Minnesota then punted for a fourth time just before the half after quarterback Max Brosmer was sacked for a nine-yard loss on third-and-short.

The Gophers defense has done what they can to stay in contention, forcing an interception and allowing only eight rushing yards on nine attempts (0.9 per attempt) so far. UCLA has put up 171 total yards by halftime.
