GUYTON, Ga. (WSAV) – Over 300 people showed up to celebrate breast cancer warriors and survivors at the Soul to Sole Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and 5K in Guyton on Saturday.
Attendee Alcine Gross, who runs a bootcamp in Rincon said, “I have three women in my bootcamp that are survivors, I also have personal training clients that are survivors, so for me to be out here for them, to walk for them, is an honor.
Also in attendance was Lon Harden, board member of the Effingham County Health System Foundation . Harden said, “The purpose is the supporting of the Effingham County Health System Foundation, as well as the Cancer Center, as well as the cancer awareness in our community.”
The event also featured speakers and tents set up with volunteers offering breast cancer related information.
