Perris and the Eastern Municipal Water District have agreed to consolidate the city’s water and sewer systems, a move that will impact about 4,000 city residents. Beginning Oct. 15, the water district will be the water and wastewater provider for the Downtown Perris Water System and the North Perris Water System, replacing the city in both instances, according to a statement on the city’s website.
