Man, woman sharing motorcycle killed in East Harlem crash with SUV driver

A man and woman are dead after their motorcycle collided with an SUV in East Harlem early Sunday.

The 32-year-old man and 35-year-old woman were riding a motorcycle together when they got into a crash with a Toyota RAV4 driver near E. 106th St. and Third Ave. about 4:40 a.m., cops said.

Both riders were killed. The Toyota driver was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

Police were still investigating the crash early Sunday.

As of Oct. 6, 35 of the city’s 195 traffic fatalities this year involved motorcycles, compared to 30 of the 198 road fatalities from the same time period in 2023, according to NYPD stats.
