‘Apple Spiced Running’: Hot Cider Hustle hits Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Caramel apples and steaming cider await runners of the Hot Cider Hustle at the finish line on Sunday.

According to the Hot Cider Hustle website , the race is one of many held across the country. The hustle guides runners through Fort Wayne as they race to benefit Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentuckey and Indiana.

Participants trek through their choice of a 5k, a 10k, or a half marathon, a new distance added to this year’s race. Hustlers are rewarded with a Finisher Mug, caramel apples and, of course, hot cider at the end of the race. Half marathon runners are gifted a medal. 10k and 5k medals are available for purchase.

The Hot Cider Hustle half marathon, 10k and 5k runs Sunday morning. Packet pick-up begins at 7:15 a.m. and ends at 8:15 a.m. Both races start at 8:30 a.m. from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum’s parking lot located at 4000 Parnell Ave.
