Boeing to lay off 17,000 employees following strike

WASH.- Boeing Aerospace announced that they are cutting 10% of the company’s workforce and ending the production of an airplane made in Washington. According to an email by CEO Kelly Ortberg, the layoffs resulted from the declining income caused by the ongoing strike, and the company will cut executives, managers and employees. The announcement layoff follows a strike by 33,000 machinists and a bad reputation with safety.
