Parker Kligerman Absolutely Livid at Charlotte Roval for Unexpected Issue

Parker Kligerman was so close to earning his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory at the Charlotte Roval on Saturday but came up short when officials put out a caution just feet before the No. 48 took the checkered flag. After finishing sixth following the overtime restart, the veteran driver was understandably disappointed in his post-race interviews.

Interestingly, the emotion the 34-year-old expressed after the race was dramatically different than how he was feeling before and during the race. Earlier in the day after a lackluster qualifying effort, the driver showed his frustration by slamming his fist on the roof of his car. It was a pre-cursor of things to come.

During the race with 15 laps to go, the driver was experiencing radio issues and his team couldn’t hear him.

“Is the other radio on, guys?” crew chief Patrick Donahue asked . “Did we turn the other radio on?”

Moments later when a caution came out, the driver had a break from the action and tried communicating with his team.
