A 58-year-old woman claims she suffered injuries due to an “unkempt” city sidewalk and now wants $500,000 from Mesa. The city has 60 days to response to Herminia Cartagena’s claim filed Aug. 27 with the city. Her attorney also filed separate claims against the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the state Office of Risk Management.
