A quick moving “Alberta Clipper” disturbance will move across the area today. It will give us cloudy skies and a round of overdue rain. A quarter to half an inch of precipitation or more is possible from the Fox Valley and to the northeast. Some folks along the Upper Michigan border may see up to an inch of rain through tonight. A few claps of embedded thunder may also occur, but widespread thunderstorm development is not expected. Considering the moderate to severe drought conditions across northeast Wisconsin, this rain is good news. That said, it may also prove to be somewhat inconvenience for those at today’s Packers-Cardinals game. Despite the wet weather at Lambeau Field we should be happy to receive the showers.
