The Saratoga History Museum will be “Striking the Iron” on Oct. 20 with a live blacksmith demonstration and a question-and-answer period. From 1 to 4 p.m., visitors to the museum can witness three blacksmiths at work who will answer questions about their trade. The museum’s 1850s pioneer cottage, the McWilliams House, will also be open, and costumed docents will give tours of the space.
