Unfortunately, the cold front did not bring any precipitation to the area. We will stay very dry through the week.

Temperatures will stay chilly through the week, topping out in the 60’s and dropping to freezing. On average, we see our first frost on October 14th in Springfield. We will likely see the first frost on Wednesday morning.

While rain chances continue to allude us, it does look like we flip the pattern a bit next week and we could start to see chances for rain. We haven’t experienced measurable rainfall since September 23 causing drought conditions to rise to alarming levels.
