Event organizers say the event draws about 10,000 people to Century II every year and that it is completely run by volunteers.

“It is the effort of all the passionate community volunteers. None of our volunteers are paid. It’s just a pure passion to make sure we could honor and highlight the Asian culture, culinary arts, and performing arts,” said Sonali Kurlekar, the president of the Wichita Asian Association.

The festival highlighted over 14 Asian countries, including Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and India.
