After 15 years in business, the owners announced on Facebook that they are now permanently closed.

Problems first began on Wednesday, October 2, when the Grotto Pub had to close down temporarily while negotiating a lease renewal with their property owner.

The owners had said that the sports bar would stay closed until an agreement was reached.

“Our lease was up at the end of September and unfortunately we have yet to come to an agreement with the property owner to renew it,” Grotto Pub said on Facebook. “Until an agreement is reached the Grotto will be closed. We are so very sorry for the inconvenience and please know we are doing everything we can to sort this out.”
