Heartwarming reunion between California Highway Patrol flight crew, boy they saved from peril

On October 6, California Highway Patrol’s Coastal Division Air Operations unit, H-70, successfully rescued a 9-year-old boy named Jack after he fell 30 feet down a steep embankment at Fiscalini Ranch. The helicopter crew hoisted Jack to safety, where he was transferred to Mercy Air and flown to a local hospital for medical care.

A few days later, on October 9, Jack and his family visited the CHP Coastal Division Air Operations hangar to personally thank the crew and present a thoughtful gift basket. The crew was honored to meet Jack and his family and were touched by the heartwarming gesture. They wish Jack a speedy recovery.
