Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co., co-owned by Gary Fortin and Joshua Hoover, is gearing up to open at 28292 Industrial Rd Unit 1, Bonita Springs, FL 34135 later this month.
The cozy, neighborhood brewpub will offer an intimate atmosphere with a strong focus on original craft beers and aquatic-themed décor. The brewery’s name, “Chubby Mermaid,” is a playful reference to manatees, and the business plans to partner with the Save the Manatee Foundation, contributing as a regular donor.
The brewpub will feature up to 16 beers on their cooler wall, with four small-batch taps offering 5-gallon batches of beer. Chubby Mermaid will also introduce gluten-free products, including 1-2 lines of gluten-free beer or seltzer in their small-batch section.
The small kitchen will serve classic pub fare, including cheeseburgers, wings, onion rings and French fries.
