COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- A great start to the work week today, as a cold front begins to move through the region. This cold front will bring big changes to our First Alert Forecast.
Tomorrow: Overnight, temperatures will drop into the mid 40s, and winds will calm down briefly following the front. Highs tomorrow will reach into the mid 70s, and we will see a few passing high clouds.
Wednesday: Starting Wednesday, we will truly notice how strong this front was. Readings will drop into the lower 40s and even 30s. However because of the breezy wind, wind chill values will drop into the mid 30s.
Thursday: The coldest day of the week is still on track to be Thursday morning. Morning lows will drop to near 40 degrees, and many will see 30s. Wind chill values will be near freezing when you head out the door. Highs will struggle to get out of the 60s Thursday.
Next Weekend: Conditions will slowly start to “warm” up by next weekend. This is all thanks to high pressure moving back over the Southeast. Highs will warm into the upper 70s by Sunday and lows into the 50s.
