NDN Collective brings people together to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – In 1990, South Dakota was the first state to officially celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on the second Monday of October each year. “It’s about centering Indigenous people and our journey and our struggle and our history and culture that were part of both the present, the past and the future,” Nick Tilsen, the founder and CEO of NDN Collective, said.
