Young driver overturns vehicle after ‘distraction’ in Fresno, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – After a young driver went off the road and overturned his vehicle, the California Highway Patrol is reminding drivers that distractions can turn their world “upside down.”

Officers say they responded to an overturned vehicle in Fresno on Sunday. They say a young driver took his eyes off the road for just a moment and ended up sitting sideways when his car went off the road and overturned.

CHP says the young man “luckily walked away safe and in good spirits.” After that, they say his mom picked him up from the scene.

Officers reminded drivers that “distractions can turn your world upside down,” and advised them to keep their eyes on the road, adding that “everything else can wait.”
