October rain moves in Tuesday soaking Portland through at least Thursday

Portland made it to 73 degrees Monday, but all sunny and warm things must come to an end at some point, and this week is that point. Light rain was reported across a wide swath of southwest Washington and northwest Oregon early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The moisture comes from a stalled weak front that extends from the Cowlitz River Valley through the northern Willamette Valley to the central Oregon Coast.
