The weekend of October 10th through 12th of 2024, a huge annual event called the Great American Beer Festival took place in Denver, Colorado. Thanks to an article from the Iowa City Press-Citizen, we now know that there were FOUR Iowa breweries that took home awards at the 2024 festival! The article says that around 2,000 breweries and cideries across the country took part in the event this year, but only “326 beverages received medals out of the 9,000 commercial entries.”
