Man arrested on Greenville Road after fleeing police, driving triple the speed limit

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 30-year-old man was arrested by Hopkinsville Police on Sunday after leading officers on a high-speed chase downtown. A police report says the man was initially spotted running a stop sign on East 18th Street around 2 a.m. HPD officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect sped, disregarding several streetlights and stop signs. While fleeing, he sideswiped two cars on North Campbell Street and continued to accelerate to speeds of 73 mph in a 25 mph zone.
