The community is feeling the loss of one of Hopkinsville’s greats, as Anderson “Jimmy” Hightower passed away recently at the age of 89. Hightower was well-known and very active in the community, a longtime member of the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club and Pioneers, Inc. During his time with those groups, he served innumerous Thanksgiving meals to those in need in the community, and help support causes through Kiwanis that benefited children and families in need throughout the year.
