COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Chattahoochee Circuit District Attorney’s job is on the ballot in the November General Election.
Incumbent Republican Don Kelly, who was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp in May, is being challenged by Democrat Anthony Johnson.
Kelly, 59, was the chief assistant DA and was appointed after the death of District Attorney Stacey Jackson earlier this year. Johnson, 37, is a criminal defense attorney, who also is a JAG officer in the Army Reserves.
The Chattahoochee Circuit includes Muscogee, Harris, Taylor, Talbot, Meriwether and Chattahoochee counties.
