A driver crashed a vehicle into a Tempe apartment building Monday night, forcing the evacuation of some residents, police said.
The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 14 near Rio Salado Parkway and Priest Drive. Impairment is suspected as a factor in the collision, police said, and other charges may be pending.
The driver was taken to a hospital, but the extent of injuries is not known, according to a release from the Tempe Police Department.
Police remained at the scene Monday night until a structural engineer decided if the vehicle could be removed safely.
