Roanoke City’s ‘Name Roanoke’s Snowplows’ contest taking submissions

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – As the region cools down, the City of Roanoke is heating things up with a friendly contest for the upcoming winter season.

It’s time to thaw out those creative muscles by helping name the city’s 11 snowplows. The contest runs from October 15 through November 1 and everyone in the community is invited to participate.

“This is a great way for residents to get involved with something fun and lighthearted while also connecting with the services that keep our city running during the winter months.” – Roanoke Fleet Manager Wayne Farley
