Deion Sanders Jr. Shares Support for Brother Shilo After Coach Prime’s Harsh Statement

Shilo Sanders returned from injury for Saturday night’s Colorado football game against Kansas State. It wound up being a night to forget for head coach Deion Sanders’ middle son.

Shilo recorded three tackles in the game, but missed another two tackles and struggled in coverage against the Wildcats in the Buffaloes’ 31-28 loss. He had one particular lowlight on a play where he had his ankles broken and fell to his knees on a nasty juke by Kansas State’s DJ Giddens.

Deion Sanders didn’t hold back after the game, when asked about his son’s poor performance.

“I thought he played horrible. I thought he was rusty. I thought he didn’t have his footing,” the Buffs coach said . “But he’s gonna do better.”

His decision to re-insert his son into the lineup caught some backlash online as well. One person who is standing up for Shilo on social media: his older brother, Colorado social media maven Deion Sanders Jr.

“It’s nothing to turn a non believer into a believer,” he captioned a photo gallery on Instagram, in which he is wearing a Shilo jersey.
