Gov. Landry, other leaders talk Louisiana’s efforts to help recent hurricane survivors

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana is playing a big part in the recovery from both Hurricanes Helene and Milton. State leaders said it is our turn to pay it forward. “When you see the destruction in a town where it took in 14 feet of water for an extended period of time. When you see 18-wheelers, commercial vehicles. You see businesses, both small businesses and large businesses completely devastated,” said Louisiana State Police Superintendent Col. Robert Hodges. “Our experiences with our Louisiana troopers, I think, helps us better support because we’ve seen a lot of the destruction.”
